Sydney-based musician Ziggy Ramo released his 5 years in the making album ‘Black Thoughts’ on June 6th 2020 – the day of the Sydney #blacklivesmatter protests.
“We are the oldest, longest, continuing culture. We are an empire”. Ziggy’s message is powerful, confronting and necessary listening for all Australians.
Navigating border closures and connecting creatives from three cities across the country, we captured this poignant moment in time that Ziggy performed the album for the first time to a surreally empty Hamer Hall in Melbourne, and created this portrait for the #musicbedreopenchallenge
‘Blackthoughts’ and ‘Empire’ written & produced by Ziggy Ramo & JCAL.
