Sound as a utilitarian object. The manipulation of sound to create harmonic or disharmonic sound situations.
The basic tools are the sound, space and kinetic action. Musicality is the link among the three – the time between two events and the articulation of con- secutive acts. The vocabulary is simple: intensity – duration – rhythm – time – space – timbre – texture – silence – pause.
The dancer listens, moves, produces, transports, reproduces, experiences, reacts and composes sound sequences. The musician proposes, forms, inter- venes and composes music kinesiology.
They both exchange roles and act under the perspective of a physical per- formative object manipulation by orchestrating sound situations. It is a game based on the instant choice and conscious composition of the material by the performers which are also affected by the architecture and acoustic proper- ties of the space.
Track 03 is part of a research on the natural and musical properties of sound and its interaction with the architectural space that Georgios Amentas and Polina Kremasta began in 2014. The sound becomes the utilitarian object which both the musician and dancer are invited to manipulate according to their aesthetic perception.
