Thanks to Focus on the Family for sponsoring this outstanding (8/20/2019) event. I believe this lecture’s subject, “The MYTH of a Dying Church”, is absolutely crucial in our understanding of what God is doing in today’s church. Breaking down false presuppositions will play a critical role in developing a full-orbed Christian worldview.

-Is it in major decline?
-Is atheism on a signficantly increasing trajectory?
-Has the Holy Spirit taken a leave of absence
-Is the Church dying a slow death?

Or, are these false perceptions, in-part based upon pessimistic eschatological expectations?

Glenn did a tremendous amount of research to support his conclusion that the church is not dying but that it is actually thriving. Set your presuppositions aside, sit back and watch Glenn share the overarching themes of his excellent book.

Stop believing the false narrative that Christianity is declining, and discover the truth about the health of the church in America and around the world.

Glenn T. Stanton is the director of Global Family Formation Studies at Focus on the Family. He debates and lectures extensively on the issues of gender, sexuality, marriage and parenting at universities and churches around the world.

Stanton also served the George W. Bush administration for many years as a consultant on increasing fatherhood involvement in the Head Start program.

Stanton is the author of nine books and is a senior contributor to the Federalist blog. His latest book is“The Myth of the Dying Church: How Christianity is Actually Thriving in America and the World.” His previous is “Loving My (LGBT) Neighbor: Being Friends in Grace and Truth,” explores how Christians should interact with gay or lesbian neighbors in a Christ-honoring way.

He is also the co-writer of “Irreplaceable” a film seen in theatres nationwide, and the co-author and creator of “The Family Project,” a 12-session small group DVD curriculum produced by Focus on the Family.

Stanton earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, communication arts and religion and a master’s degree in philosophy, history, and religion from the University of West Florida.
