“Purgatory” – Directed by Lawdy Luctama.

Lawdy is Haitian-born and was raised in Elmsford, NY. She is a filmmaker, director, screenwriter, editor, cinematographer, and photographer. She graduated from SUNY Albany with a BA in Psychology and Studio Art and later received her MA and MFA in Film and Television Production at SHU where she wrote and directed several short films. Lawdy loves the horror and suspense genre. Her films touch on personal experiences and raise awareness of social and mental distress. Lawdy’s most recent film “Purgatory” was written by Larissa Cole and adapted, produced, directed, and edited by Lawdy. It portrays the impact of PTSD and anxiety when it’s not properly treated.
