Opening Performance of Zürich Moves

“RECEPTIONS” is a performance which reflects how the society, environment and culture that we live in or carry with, shape our body and thoughts, and affect our moves which create the so called human behaviour. The performance is to transform this phenomenon with 4 elements: Body, Movement, Drawing and Audio Source.
With observers surround, at the end of the performance is an action of forming community, supporting and responding with our physical existence.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENT :
Indoor room with flat ground, minimal room size: 5 meters X 6 meters

Kuan was born in Taiwan. Started dancing at the age of 4 and had once dreamed to be a ballerina, but later on realised she enjoys more moving freely with bare feet and rolling on the floor. In 2005 Kuan started her professional life of living and working in between Taipei, Zurich and New York as a performer, collaborator and art model. Since 2016 she settled in Zurich and continue working with her knowledge of moving body.
In the past, Kuan has appeared on: Schauspielhaus Zürich, Tanzkompanie Theater St. Gallen, Cie ZeitSprung, Zurich Opernhaus, Freie Oper Zürich, Zürich Moves, Zürich Tanz, Antigel Festival, and Philipp Egli, Salome Schneebeli, etc.
