We learned Sunday that Nehemiah’s faith led him in an active faith.

Hebrews 11:1 says; “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”

Without faith of a better and preferred future there would be no change in our lives or the lives of our community. Nehemiah saw a better future for his people and country so much so that it caused him to be desperate for God’s activity.

Nehemiah was active while waiting to see God move. It took four months for Nehemiah to see God open an opportunity for him to go back and rebuild the wall in Israel. During that time, Nehemiah was active in his praying and planning. Every great action requires time to actively plan and count the costs.

Are you active in your faith? Are you active in your faith while you wait for an answer or to see God move? Listen in to learn more from Pastor Shea.
