Featuring found + manipulated natural and synthetic materials, details of these vignettes are as small as .75 cm (preserved mushrooms covered in flocking, blue wax candles from Finland, and pink fishing lures).
Titles are inspired by poetry, literature + science fiction based on cycles of rebirth.
These have appeared in various solo + group exhibitions (500X Gallery // Texas Wesleyan University // Czong Institute of Contemporary Art // Musik by Narong + more).
SOUND: The sound for each vignette was incorporated into the exhibition THERE WILL COME SOFT RAINS (500X Gallery, Dallas, TX 2020) where each vignette incorporated digitally-read poems (Harvest Moon by Carl Sandberg, There Will Come Soft Rains by Sara Teasdale, Love After Love by Derek Walcott, and Let Go by Jack Davis) over ambient synth soundtracks composed by Carlin McLellan under his label Hidden Sky.
