SiTAPE is a smart and integrated solution that allows the reduction of water losses from the water grid while simultaneously produces clean hydroelectric energy as a by-product. The system uses supercomputer and IoT in order to help the water-grid manager to make efficient real-time data-driven decisions. The solution was created in Madeira, a European outermost region, but it can be applied in every city. High- speed broadband is essential in order to make use of tools like SiTAPE, as it supports the fast exchange of the significant amount of data produced.
