Can we harness the power of clean energy to earn a profit through crypto mining?
I honestly wasn’t sure if this hair brain idea would even work. After being inspired by Ross Stevens reflection about the possible implications of crypto mining for rural and destitute areas with clean energy sources – I decided to put his hypothesis to the test… albeit at a small scale.
First we rigged up a Raspberry Pi 4 to run a multi threaded minger gate crypto mining package. Then we used a WaterLily hydro power turbine to generate that clean energy we needed to prove this out. Low and behold it worked and we effectively monetized a river.
