A step by step walkthrough showing some techniques that will help you to create cinematic video from your own home, with very little gear. The best thing about cinematography is it can be done anywhere, even at home. Here’s how to go about it! Watch behind the scenes, from start to finish, as I set up a little cinematic film sequence in my house. Including setting up the scene, lighting, camera settings, and colour grading.
It’s Saturday night. During normal times I’d be out and about. So I thought I’d give myself a little challenge. What can I do in my house, using as little equipment as possible? I came up with a creepy little sequence that would work great for a short film. It just goes to show you don’t need incredibly inspiring locations and stacks of equipment to be creative and produce something that looks great. Follow this walkthrough and give it a try!
