Arijit Das, a student of Grade 10 at Hem Sheela Model School, Durgapur in West Bengal has done some remarkable work in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Internet-of-Things. His first project in a State-Level Science Fair was a modified version of the LiFi (Light Fidelity) concept prototype which used Infrared Light emitters instead of traditional light bulbs was back in 2018.

Thereafter, he developed an Industrial Robotic Arm and a School Automation System with his team. He has won awards for his health band by UNDP, won the China-US Young Maker Faire hosted by Google and China Ministry of Education by developing a vehicle anti-theft system, and developed an AI-based smart pesticide detector and farming system which went on to win the Deep Learning Superheroes challenge by Intel.
